Why wedding photographer
It is difficult to talk about oneself, but as a wedding photographer I enter your family circle, and it is important for me to reveal myself to you.
I grew up in Arbanats, a small village in the south-west of France near Bordeaux. My early childhood could hardly have been easier, cycling in the vineyards, frolicking in the fields, having BBQs as we used to say with my parents, in short a simple life.
At the age of 7, as with many others in the world, I lost my father, and looking for memories in old dusty photo boxes helped me to grow up, and this hunting game became my favourite past time, so much so that I wanted to learn photography.
Chance would have it that my father-in-law was a professional photographer. He taught me the basics of photography, but he mainly taught me to go beyond the basics whether in the photo or in life.
With this in mind I have tried skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, song-writing with my guitar and of course photos and of all of these activities I have only kept music and photography.
I love telling stories whether by music or photography but always with simplicity and sincerity. In terms of music I prefer a simple guitar and voice to a big studio production. It’s the same thing for photography: truth, emotion and simplicity, less is more.
So when I was asked to photograph the first wedding I thought why not, and I liked it so much that I said to myself: “This is what I want to do!”
